The Prayer Box

We’VE GOT TO pray!

What is it?

Writing your prayers down can help you meditate and collect your thoughts. The Lord knows your mind and heart, so this is more about you thinking things through!

Made from Black Walnut, this cross has a drawer in the bottom where you can place your prayers. Why here? We are to take our burdens to the foot of the cross!

What did we learn?

Sometimes recreating something you’ve made before is more challenging that making something from scratch. While we’re happy with the outcome, it was tricky! Its predecessor was made from parts left over from another Prayer Box. That dictated how it was designed in terms of proportions; etc. This one, we had to try to capture and recreate those dimensions from pictures of the other box.

Here is the key learning: In the future, we will not try to re-create something we’ve made. Instead, we will approach it as a new project, using anything previously made as “inspiration” to inform the new design!

In Closing…

We are thankful for those whom we made this Prayer Box. We pray it brings them much blessing and answers to many prayers to come.
